My last post was about successful male models with tattoos. Rick 'Rico' Genest the 25 year old modelling phenomena from Canada with tattoos to 80% of his body is another story altogether. He totally challenges society's norms as to what is beautiful and is changing people's views. He has modelled for high end designer brands including Thierry Mugler and has appeared in prestigious glossies such as Vogue Hommes, Schon and L'officiel Hommes as well as scoring multiple campaigns. His career from circus entertainer to model has sky rocketed and he is represented by the most illustrious agencies in the world including Ford Models Europe.

With the faces of angels and the bodies of bad boys these tattooed male models have calved their way into the once stereotyped modelling world to become superstars! English model Josh Beech is ranked # 11 on Models.com and along with Ash Stymest and Max Barreau has shot major campaigns and appeared in top fashion editorials including Vogue Hommes. The new rising star is Bradley Soileau (featured in the Lana del Ray clip 'Born to Die') who is pushing the traditional boundaries of beauty even further with his facial tattoos. That does not mean to say any boy with a tattoo can be a model, you don't have to look too hard to see these men are more than just ink....they are also pretty faces!

I just love these fabulously striking images paying hommage to Liz Taylor. They have a rather poppish Warholesque feel to them which adds to their kitschy appeal.

I am totally digging these high, high, high end goth jewellery pieces for Fendi by 23 year old Delfina Delettrez.She is not only a talented young designer with an eye for the macarbre but she is also the heir to the Fendi fortune.Her pieces are not for the faint hearted nor are the price tags! 

Gold Rush

With the new year starting there are so many stunning editorials it's hard to choose my favourite. This shoot for Dec/Jan 2011-12 issue of Paris Vogue is very 'me' flavoured. Loving the over the top 80's gold rock'n'roll vibe featuring model of the moment Arizona Muse looking tough but glam!
