Anyone who knows me knows I am partial to more than my share of heavy metal finger bling! I wish I had 20 fingers so I could wear my whole ring collection at once. These images are inspiration to spend my next pay on more shiney trinkets I don't need but totally have to have!

For his Spring/Summer 2012 Haute Couture Show on January 25th, Jean Paul Gaultier sent Amy Winehouse clones down the runway with the obligatory lashings of heavy eye liner, beehives and cigarettes. Only six months after her death her family is upset with the designers tribute although he called her "a style icon" and by no means meant to offend. I was never a real fan of Amy's look but I totally love Gaultier's stylish interpretation of her trashed out 50's and 60's style. 

Pradabilly

As I mentioned in my previous post I am loving Prada's Spring/Summer 12 collection. Using 1950's silhouettes and hot rod iconography the range is totally my cuppa. The shoes are seriously blowing my mind featuring flames, tail fins and tiny cadillac tail lights. Going my way?

Kitschy Kitschy Koo

I love this photo shoot that appeared in the December issue of Vogue Russia featuring kitschy 50's styling and decor! The look is a sexed-up Betty Paige suburban housewife. The model wears quite a few pieces by Prada who presented one of my fave S/S 12 collections, including a jewel encrusted bustiere and leather pencil skirt with a hot rod applique.

Cuff Love

I have always had a penchant for a wrist cuff but am loving the current trend for not only wrist but neck, waist and ankle cuffs. Celine who's design DNA is in it's simplicity have some highly stylised plain, bow and studded wrist cuffs. Karen Ko of New York accessory brand K20 has designed some wild studded ankle cuffs and Alexander McQueen's sky high pumps have their own leather cuff attached.
